princess glimmer of bright moon, only child of king micah and queen angella, is born into war. the evil horde, led by lord hordak, acquired the scorpian kingdom- now known as the fright zone- a decade or so before her arrival. as his armies gain ground, etheria takes a breath to celebrate its new daughter. glimmer is just that- a spark of hope in a world that grows bleaker and bleaker every day. and for the most part, with the exception of the looming threat over the treetops of the whispering woods outside her kingdom, she remains untouched by battle. that is, until her father leaves to fight and never returns. queen angella leaves his throne empty in mourning and holds their daughter, the last piece of him left, as close as she possibly can.bright moon realizes early on that glimmer is her father's daughter. mischievous, boisterous, and prone to teleporting at random, she stresses her mother out to no end. as the princess grows, she quickly becomes aware that there is so much to be found outside of the walls of her palace- raging battles included. glimmer becomes fixated on the war in etheria. she sneaks into the war room and hides under the table during strategy meetings with the few remaining members of something called the princess alliance. she tugs at the capes of the bright moon guard. she asks a million questions about every horde-associated word she hears. upset by her daughter's interest in the subject, queen angella forbids her from leaving the palace grounds. it's then that the princess learns that it's extremely hard to make friends when confined to the palace grounds. that is, until a rogue arrow lands in the courtyard.bow, a junior archer, becomes her best friend and ticket to the world outside of the palace. he comes and goes, bringing news of the war as glimmer requests it and much-needed companionship as she begins to learn more about her moonstone-granted powers. the bigger she gets, the more she hears from family and denizens about what big shoes she has to feel. her mother, an immortal, angelic queen, and her dearly departed father, a master sorcerer- how could she ever compare? slowly but surely, it hits her: she may not have her mother's wings or her father's magic, but she does have more grit than more princesses. and with that grit comes one fully-realized desire: she wants to fight. she wants to be the princess to lead etheria to victory and send hordak back to whatever backwards universe he crawled out of.queen angella is less than thrilled that her daughter's big dream is to be a soldier. she rebuffs the idea at every turn. her rejection only propels glimmer further, and she insists on going through the motions underneath bright moon's top generals and strategists. she and bow, who has all but moved into one of the spare rooms, juggle faux-battle planning with learning steps for waltzes. by the time she's eighteen, her mother finally relents- addressing her as commander glimmer and sending her to neighboring towns under bright moon's rule for protection. still, glimmer is quick to realize that while she may be in the field now, her mother is only sending her to places with little to no threat of actual action. and just like before, this makes glimmer want to fight even more.it isn't until glimmer presents her mother with adora- the she-ra, princess of power- that her chapter of the rebellion fully kicks off. it's the start of all glimmer has ever wanted. a chance to fight, a chance to resurrect the now fully-defunct princess alliance, and a chance to finally save etheria. still, the feeling that those around her see her as little more than the weakest link of the rebellion eats at her from the inside. when she finally begins to realize that she is a child of etheria's war in every possible way, it's already too late. the rebellion aches under the weight of what the bright moon royal family leaves unsaid, and to get to the light at the end of the tunnel, glimmer will have to run headfirst into the dark.

PRE SEASON 1. ... this verse includes all events taking place before season 1 kicks off. glimmer, princess of bright moon, has grown up under the guidance of her mother queen angella, the leader of the etherian rebellion against the evil horde. with assistance from her best (and only) friend, bow, glimmer shirks her duties as a princess in favor of becoming a commander in her kingdom's army. however, despite this rank, her mother fails to let her see any real action.CANON / SEASONS 1-3. ... this verse includes all events between seasons 1 - 3 of spop. after befriending adora, glimmer takes it upon herself to settle her in bright moon and utilize her gifts as she-ra to reinstate the etherian princess alliance. this kicks off a race against the horde for first ones technology established across etheria, eventually leading to a disaster in the form of catra setting off a portal made of said tech that angella sacrifices herself to close.CANON / SEASON 4. ... this verse includes all events that take place during season 4 for spop. with angella gone, glimmer is now young queen of bright moon and leader of the etherian princess alliance. forced to sit back in her castle while the alliance handles increasingly dangerous horde operations, glimmer grows frustrated, isolates herself from her friends, and resorts to increasingly violent measures to turn the tide of the war. she believes she can save her people by activating the heart of etheria, a bioweapon to which adora is the key- with disastrous consequences.CANON / SEASON 5. ... this verse includes all events that take place during season 5 of spop. though adora stops the heart of etheria from going off, she can't stop horde prime from arriving and taking glimmer prisoner upon his spaceship. glimmer spends her time with him regretting her actions on etheria and bonding with catra, who eventually decides to save her. as she reunites with her friends, she must mend her relationships, reconsider her feelings for bow, and work to become a better queen for her people- all while racing to save etheria from prime.POST SEASON 5. ... this verse includes all events that take place after season 5 of spop. glimmer continues to work at becoming the queen etheria deserves, shouldering her duties with her newly-saved father. she continues to atone for her misdeeds and tries to strike a balance between healing from the war and leading her people.YEARS AFTER CANON. ... this verse is a catch all for interactions that take place long after the original series when most of the characters have passed on. glimmer, being near-immortal, continues to rule bright moon alongside her and bow's children and helps keep the memory of her friends and family alive.SUBVERSE / CHIPPED! GLIMMER. ... this verse is a catch all for interactions that take place in a subverse where glimmer is chipped in episode 9 of she-ra season 5, “an ill wind”, by spinnerella in the midst of battling her at erelandia. glimmer goes on to fight for prime besides her fellow chipped princesses and her father, encountering her friends multiple times before and during the final battle. she retreats to bright moon and captures it for the horde.

TO BE EXPANDED ON.POP STAR/FAME AU. ... in this verse, glimmer is a former child star going through an intense rebrand to capture a new audience. she eventually breaks through with a cheeky, bubblegum pink, pin-up pop persona that angers those who still see her as a role model to her children. as her notoriety skyrockets to previously unseen heights, she finds herself involved in new scandals and challenges.
